I've always loved planning.
Big events, small events, dinner parties, meetups, and most of all big conferences. I've planned events for big companies, and large brands, and even double-planned an in-person conference for a big real estate mogul who changed his mind on location halfway through-

And I like to explore them all while helping other people do the same. Another one of my passions is curating information to make it easier to find when you decide you need it.

Planning & Project Management
I love what I do... This is what led me to Virtual Summits & Digital Events.
And planning over a dozen virtual summits, digital conferences, and hybrid events, is what led me to create The Summit Host website where I can share these things with like-minded people who want to do the same.
Putting a plan into place and lining up all the small steps you need to take to get to the end provides me with so much satisfaction, I can hardly describe it. For some people, this would provide anxiety and maybe even stop them from getting their goals achieved, but for me, it's fun and I'd love to make it fun for you too!
Here's the thing I always tell myself.
You can only do what you can do and that's usually one thing at a time.
When I set my eyes on something I set an end goal. And the truth is, I can only look at the end goal for so long before the thought of it becomes somewhat of a burden. So I don't...
I look at the end goal and make a plan to get there. Then from this point moving forward I just look at the next step I need to make to move closer to the goal.
My 1st Virtual Summit
My very first virtual summit was launched out of a need for income and answers. Both were my own issues at the time, but ultimately it was successful because I wasn't the only one looking for this information.

The event was 5 days and 100% pre-recorded.
It was called the Make Money & RV Virtual Summit and it was aimed at the community of working RVers and those trying to figure out how to get on the road for adventure but wanted/needed to work along the way.
I hosted the event using HeySummit, an event platform I highly recommend! There were no live sessions and no chat boxes.
I did mostly interview-style videos and offered no big course, product, or service afterward.
And it still made $10K by day 1.
I was impressed with myself, to be honest. While it was a ton of work to pull it together without a team to work with or bounce ideas off of, I enjoyed the process and found that it fits well with how I like to plan and complete projects.
I won't go into all the details of that event in this post, since I already told the story of my very first virtual summit in this one. But what I will say is that it changed the way I thought about growing as a business and how I viewed digital events.
Virtual Summits were no longer sleazy sales pitches lined up one after the other in an attempt to sell, sell, sell... Of course, they can be just that, but I didn't want to be the one behind events like that.
I want to feel proud of what I create, each and every time.
Regardless of the industry, topic, or number of speakers and attendees- I genuinely focus on creating events that answer questions, in my favorite signature way... information & inspiration! Read more about the many benefits of hosting a virtual summit!
Going Beyond Just 1 Event
Some people would willingly stop with just one event, planned well, and delivered without tech issues... I'm not that person.
After that first event, I had bits and pieces of processes that I had created and used to plan, produce and host the event. I felt relatively good about my ability to hone in on those and recreate something that was bigger and better, with less stress and effort than it took previously.
I relaunched the same summit about a year later and made another 5 figures off the same content with barely adding much to it! It was kind of crazy to think people were still interested until I realized, these were people who didn't attend the first time. These were new people plus some people who loved the first run so much, they bought into the 2nd run to get the new content and continued access to the original content that I was including in the VIP passes!
Woop! Woop!
This further solidified my love of virtual summits and I decided I would run a few more in the RV niche since there were so many different ways to travel and there was so much to cover on these topics!
While I was planning my own events, I accepted a contract position that put me in charge of planning a larger-scale event for an RV company that wanted to produce something similar. They were actually one of my sponsors of that first event and felt that the production was top-notch from both behind-the-scenes and public-facing.
I planned their event and continued to plan their events as more came into the picture, as well as other events where I partnered with fellow entrepreneurs.
The more events I planned, the more time I had to work on strengthening my processes, creating templates to pass to my assistant, and the best part... putting together a full system of how I do it from start to finish. (Check out The Starter Kit & Basecamp if you want all my steps and the templates to make it easy!)
It was a long road that took me about 3 years to make the journey.
But that journey led to my newest brand product, called the Summit Host. It's a website where I not only host my own events from, with the help of great tools like Kajabi and HeySummit but also the central location where I can help teach you how to plan and host your events too.
I'm super excited to be able to finally launch it into the world and get it into the hands of fellow entrepreneurs trying to build their businesses. I'm excited to see what you guys create as well as what additional opportunities come from it.
What is the Summit Host?
The Summit Host is my little spot on the web where summits and digital events are not only possible and profitable, but attainable and manageable for anyone to produce using the steps I've outlined for you to follow.
You don't have to be good at web design, branding, copywriting, graphics, or anything other than completing a checklist with the tools provided. You don't even need to think through how to get from point A to point B, because I've done that for you.
The Summit Host offers both free and paid resources to help you create amazing online events from start to finish. I've created a free community library with free planning templates, a Jump Starter Course that offers 7 days of free access with all the worksheets included to help you start planning, as well as a Summit Host Starter Kit and the Basecamp option that provides all the tools, templates and training you need for extra support.
I really hope you enjoy the planning process as much as I do- once we take out the overwhelming uncertainty and just concentrate on the big picture.
